| The Polka Dot Princess began in Fairhope, Alabama in February 2005. Owner and designer Brett Jones began making colorful cards and invitations as gifts for friends and family. The first location opened in April in downtown Fairhope. Due to the growing number of customers outside of the Eastern Shore the decision was made to take The Polka Dot Princess online.
